Arsenal Mantap

Arsenal have shown a glimpse of champion spirit after a late winning goal against WHU. It was not an easy win which is predicted to be achieved by Arsenal at home. We have to struggle and wait patiently (or not) until 88th minutes for the winning goal.

Regardless of the late goal, the Gunners did start the game well and managed to create a few good chances on 1st half. Starting with Nasri upfront has given Arsenal fluidity in their pass. Some good passes or one-two Nasri's passes with others such as Cesc has created chances to take the lead. However, the goal never came thanks to Robert Green who, i am sure, was having one of his best performance this season. One of the best chance I remember was a great shoot by Cesc inside the box after a solid build-up which was brilliantly blocked by Green. Therefor, the score stayed 0-0 until Half time.

Entering the 2nd half, Arsenal kept controlling possession and kept pressing, but West Ham defence proved hard to break. The Hammers itself tried to compile the pressure on Arsenal side with solid team defense and counter whenever they got the chance. It was thanked to Arsenal defence which played faultless to ensure the score stays level. Having score stays level, Arsene tried to add some pace upfront changing Theo for Denilson. It proved  effective when Theo was put through by Fabregas, but Theo can't put it to bed by hitting the post after a shot beating Green. At last, a Clichy run from the left side created an opening on Newcastle right hand side. A pin point pass was released beautifully near the far post which was headed by Song hitting the net. Despite leading 1-0, Gunners kept concentrating not to lose the lead. Thus, 3 vital points was secured for tonight.

3points secured ! the race is still open although on the other match, Chelsea has managed an away win at Blackburn turf. Despite that, we can celebrate a little minding City was beaten by Wolves which means we now have 3 points advantage against them. Till then, Keep red and White !!  :)
