Has Arsene proved us wrong ?

It has been several months for us mumbling about Wenger's decision for not having a new goalkeeper and wierd Song's new role. In recent days, it seems the noise has been getting quieter. Fabianski's and Song's positive contributions are undeniable taking a big part in this.

Arsene has been recognized for having a superb way of spoting young talents. However, he is also recognized as a stubborn man lately. It is shown from his persistence for not having a new goalkeeper. Even though there have been many parties who viewed current crops are not good enough, Arsene persists to trust his current available goalkeepers. For the past few weeks, it seems like Wenger's trust and patience has come to fruition in the form of Polish young stopper, Fabianski. Fabianski has been performing well since Almunia's absence after WBA defeat. The games Arsenal started with him between the sticks have ended with glory. The young Polish can see a change of fortune, or rather I can say a change of nickname from 'Flappyhandski' to other more reliable nickname such as 'Fabolouski'. Fabianski has had three clean sheets in the last three matches he played. I am sure he now can't wait to hear what new nickname will be given to him if the fine form keep continuing.

Apart from the goalkeeper issue, some of Arsenal fans have kept protesting on Song's new role which sees him more upfront. The new role has been causing Arsenal a lack of protection from Song as a defensive midfielder for the Gunners defence. Well, we can't complain much seeing Song scored a winning goal in our last match. Seeing him play more advance, we have to agree with Arsene that Song is providing a new dimension in our attack which is proved by scoring the winning goal. However, there are still some (including me) who are not really convinced by Song's new  roles which pushes the likes of Wilshere playing deeper. I guess only time will tell us whether this is a revolutionary change from Arsene which sees us one step closer to the trophy or a destructive change which sees us conceding goals.

Till then, guess all we must do as gooners are showing our faith and keep supporting red and white, Arsenal ! :)
