In the past days, there were speculations circulating around claiming that the Polish has signed a new deal with us. Today, it has been confirmed that the rumour proved to be true. After holding a long talk with the young Polish stopper, we succeed to seal a new deal. It will be a smashing news for us since most of Gooners rate him to become our future number one should he fulfilled his potential.

The 20-year-old stopper has kept impressing the fans and manager when he got the chance to play. After having a succesful loan at Bendtford, the 6ft 4in stopper came back to us as Arsenal third choice keeper behind Almunia and Fabianski. There was fear on him not signing the extension deal due to his lack of minutes played. However, the wait is over now having him extended the deal for another 5 years. I guess the issue of more playing time demand has been handled and agreed by both sides. I think we will see him more now in the Carling Cup campaign. Regardless, congratulation , Wojciech !

Another good news came is the arriving of the highly rated Brazilian, Wellington Silva. It is reported that the 17-year-old Brazilian has arrived from Fluminese and has been training at London. The young midfielder has been left out from the Fluminese squad since the transfer was announced. Arsenal was quick in responding on the situation by getting the kid came to London to train with us. However, he can't be included into the senior squad yet. The club has to wait until the 6th of January for the transfer to officially go through. Afer that, he will be eligible to play for us. A 'special talent' work visa has also been granted for him. Currently he is training with the reserves and probably will be included in reserve games if Steve Bould sees him fit. The brazilian himself has played for us a few times already in the reserve games and performed very well. Hopefully, he will keep it up. Welcome, Silva !!
