Sneijder undeniable was having a superb season with Inter Milan having win the treble last season. He became an essential part in Mourinho's team last season in winning the first Champion League for Inter Milan. He also guided Netherlands through World Cup final which saw Netherlands narrowly lost to Spain in extra time.

"I think Wesley has a good chance to win. He won the triple with Inter, he had a very good World Cup and scored five goals and was in the final.
"I think with him, Xavi, Casillas, Messi and Iniesta you have the top five – the winner will be one of those players."
